FAQs
What materials do you use in your jewellery?
Emily June Studio jewellery is crafted using real flowers that are encased in a mix of preservation materials, a technique that Emily June Pullen developed herself, along with 925 Sterling Silver components and necklace chains. Emily personally selects each flower, growing the majority of them in her garden in Hampshire, and creates the piece to ensure the bloom’s beauty is preserved.
How are the flowers preserved?
The flowers are carefully dried and preserved using techniques that maintain their natural colour and shape. This process allows their beauty to be encapsulated, giving them a timeless, lasting quality. The botanicals are never dyed, even after they have been dried, as the artist wishes to honour the natural organic colours.
Will the flowers change colour over time?
Whilst the preservation process helps to maintain the flowers’ beauty, it is natural for them to gently age over time. This may include gradual colour changes, but for Emily June Studio this adds to the unique character of each piece without detracting from its overall beauty. For more detailed information please visit the Care Information page.
How do I care for my botanical element?
To keep your botanical piece looking its best, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, heat, and chemicals. Clean gently with a soft cloth and store in a cool, dry place, preferably in its jewellery box to avoid surface scratches. For more detailed information please visit the Care Information page.
How do I care for Sterling Silver?
Sterling Silver can tarnish over time, so it is important to store your piece in an closed jewellery box when not in use. Regular wear, and regularly polishing your chain with a soft cloth, can help to keep it shiny, and avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or moisture. For more detailed information please visit the Care Information page.
Can I request custom jewellery?
I would love to create custom pieces that are meaningful to you. Whether you have a particular flower or design in mind, we can work together to create a bespoke piece that captures your vision.
